When Nina was freshman at Amherst College, she made her debut performance at the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton, MA with a solo show on Sunday, May 3, 2015. The club is one of the most celebrated venues in western Massachusetts. She was accompanied on upright bass by her cousin Aaron Blick, who was then in his first year as a music performance student at Northwestern University in Chicago.
The Five College area and greater Pioneer Valley region have shown Nina a warm welcome – WMUA Amherst 91.1 FM spotlighted Nina’s music with airplay of “The Moon Can Stay” on the“Celtic Crossings” show with DJ Louise. At the same station, Nina appeared in-studio on the “Blue Monday” morning program hosted by Al Sax – he played two songs, and Nina performed “The Nearness of You” live on the air. The popular AAA station WRSI 93.9 The River added Nina’s single “Daisies” in its regular rotation. She was also live on television on Western Mass News’ midday lifestyle show.
